Dave and I love watching "The Big Bang Theory." I'd put it right up there with MASH and Seinfeld as one of the best Sit-Coms ever. Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj are all brilliant, eccentric young physicists. Sheldon is deeply eccentric.
But, aside from the brilliance and being a physicist, I can identify with Sheldon in some ways. I like my special place on the couch - and in a restaurant.
I love Sheldon and Leonard's apartment. You can see it here. I also love Penny's apartment but it's a little messy for me. I'm like Sheldon in that regard as well.
You know how I love TV characters with issues. I still believe that Brenda on "The Closer" had Asperger's. Apparently many fans think Sheldon has Asperger's. The writers are not sayin'.
Last June, on our cruise in the Baltic we met an interesting and delightful younger couple from Kansas. He's a small town doctor and she's a middle school principal. Both of them have run for public office and plan to again.Their teenager daughters were on the cruise with them. An outstanding family.
One day the principal and I were chatting about motivating students. I asked her if she'd seen "The Big Bang Theory." She had. And she uses the show to motivate the kids. She even ordered t-shirts saying BAZINGA!
Of course, my favorite song from the show is the one above by Barenaked Ladies. But my second favorite is "Soft Kitty."
